Welcome, Welcome,

This is my second card in my Textures and Frames series.  I love working with shapes and frames to make cards that we don’t normally see when we look at these shapes.

Don’t forget to check out the Halloween card I did with this same set!

For this card I combined the Textures and Frames set with the Festive & Bright and Penguin Place sets.

Don’t forget to add your email to the right under the “Follow Me” section if you’d like to be notified each time I add a card to my blog!

Below are the card cuts, instructions, supply list and a video link:

Layer 4 – Basic White – 4 x 5 1/4
Instructions:
1. Layer 1 – Adhere to card front.
2.  Layer 2 – Using the Festive & Bright stamp set, and Mossy Meadow ink,  stamp the Christmas Border along the top edge of this sheet.
  • Color in the bulbs with the following Stamp N Write Markers: Bermuda Bay, Blackberry Bliss and Crushed Curry
  • Using the Textures & Frames stamp set do the following steps:
    • Then using Coastal Cabana ink and the solid circle stamp, stamp the circle as shown
    • Using Rich Razzleberry ink stamp another solid circle as shown
    • Using So Saffron ink stamp the last solid circle as shown
    • Using Bermuda Bay ink, stamp the outline circle over the Coastal Cabana circle as shown, then stamp the stripped stamp across the circle as shown.
    • Using Blackberry Bliss ink, stamp the outline circle over the Rich Razzleberry circle as shown, then stamp the stripped stamp across the circle as shown.
    • Using Crushed Curry ink, stamp the outline circle over the So Saffron circle as shown, then stamp the stripped stamp across the circle as shown.
  • Now using the Penguin Place stamp set
    • Using the little stripped bag stamp, stamp the tops of the ornaments as shown. (Note: I did not ink up the top of the stamp with the bag handle)
  • Adhere to the card front.
3. Layer 3 – Using the Word Wishes dies cut out the word “Merry” and the word “Christmas”  (Note: I did not use the adhesive backing before I cut these out on my video but I would suggest to do that so it’s easier to adhere to the card front.
  • Adhere to card front as shown.
4. Layer 4 – Stamp the Festive & Bright border stamp across the bottom of this sheet and then color in with the Stamp N Write markers as before.
  • Stamp the sentiment using Mossy Meadow ink as shown
  • Adhere to the inside of the card
All done!  I hope you will try out this technique with shapes and frames and see what you can create!
