Welcome to my blog!  Hope your day is going well!  I needed a quick and easy Thank you card today so I decided to to a simple stamping card using the Hydrangea Haven stamp set by Stampin UP®.  Purple is one of my favorite colors so I love this set with all the beautiful Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper!  It’s an explosion of purple! I did try to soften it a bit by using a Misty Moonlight card base and I think it looks great together!

Let’s get started!  You will find the instructions below:

Cut and Card Base – DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base – Misty Moonlight – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 – Hydrangea Hill DSP – 3 x 5 1/2

Layer 2 – Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass – 3 1/4 x 4

Layer 3 – White – 3 x 3 1/4

Layer 4 – Scrap of Gorgeous Grape

Layer 5 – White – 4 x 5 1/4

  1. Layer 1 – Wrap Ribbon around layer about 1/2″ from left edge.  **** Do not use any adhesive on the front as you will need to place other layers under the ribbon. Adhere to the card front on the left side keeping all edges flush.
  2. Layer 2 – Using the Detailed Trio Punch round the top right corner.  Then adhere to the card front 1/2″ from right side and 3/4″ front top edge. Placing a section under the ribbon as shown.
  3. Layer 3 – Stamp the Hydrangea and stem images in Black Memento ink.  Then using the solid stamp images stamp the Hydrangea in Gorgeous Grape ink and the stem and leaves in Mint Macaron ink.
  4. Using the Detailed Trio Punch round the top right corner.  Then adhere to Layer 2 on the card front. Again you will be placing part of it under the ribbon.
  5. Layer 4 – Using the Hydrangea Dies cut out the small label die.  Then using White Craft ink stamp the sentiment onto the label. Using a mini glue dot adhere the label to the bottom of the ribbon about 1 12/” from bottom edge.  Tie a bow with the ribbon and using Mini glue dots adhere it overlapping edge of the label.
  6. Adhere three of the Pastel Peral in Highland Heather to Layer 3 as shown.
  7. Layer 5 – In the lower right hand corner stamp the Hydrangea in Black Memento Ink.  Then using the solid stamp image stamp over in Gorgeous Grape ink. Stamp the sentiment in Black Memento Ink.  Then adhere to the inside of the card!
What a fun set!  Isn’t the little label so cute!  I hope this card will inspire you to get busy making some cards! Please take the time to leave me a comment below!  I’d love to hear from you!
