This is the second card in my series of Simple Stamping using the Hand-Drawn Blooms stamp set.  Just add a little Designer Series paper and you have a quick and beautiful card.  This card is perfect for all those scraps of paper that we tend to hold on to.  For this card I used some scraps of the Artistry Bloom Designer Series paper for the front and inside of the card.  Great way to get rid of all those scraps!

This card also requires the Masking technique as the sentiment stamps in this set are set up to be stamped on the banner that cut out with the dies.  So I just cover the part I don’t want to use with a post it note ink it up, take off the post it note and stamp the sentiment.

Cuts and Card Base:  DSP = Designer Series Paper

Card Base = Highland Heather – 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4

Layer 1 – Whisper White – 4 x 5 1/4
Layer 2 – Artistry Blooms DSP – 3/4 x 5 1/4
Layer 3 – Whisper White – 4 x 5 1/4
Layer 4 – Artistry Blooms DSP – 1/2 x 4

1.  Layer 1 – Using Highland Heather ink stamp the Flower on the right side of this layer.  Then mask off  “A Friend Like You” with a post it note ink it up then stamp “So Grateful To Have” as shown.

2.  Layer 2 – Adhere to the left side of Layer 1 then adhere them both to the card front.

3.  Layer 3 – Mask off the sentiment again but this time you want to ink up “A Friend Like You” so cover the other part with a post it note, ink it up then stamp it in the center of Layer 3.

Adhere to the inside of the card.

4.  Layer 4 – Adhere to the bottom edge of Layer 3.

See four steps and you are done!  Not bad for a quick and easy card!  The finished card is pretty cute!
